Background
I grew up in Muskegon, Michigan on the coast of Lake Michigan. Nature and the environment's importance to our mental and physical wellbeing was always emphasized by my mom. Spending time camping, at the beach, or in our overgrown backyard shaped me into the tree-hugger I am now. Having plants and animals surrounding me, whether domestic or wild, keeps me inspired and sane- I incorporate plenty of natural motifs and imagery into my work.
I received my Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan Stamps School of Art & Design. My time there exposed me to the variety of mediums I work with now. While at Michigan, I was also in the marching band as a piccolo player, and was the music director of my all-female identifying a cappella group The Sopranos!
My down time consists of hanging out with my beloved cat Bailey, running, watching reality TV, and cooking.
